Strange Gods in strange cities
Making love
All by themselves
Heartbeats behind their shoulders
And flashing screens
Inside their hands
No smoke now rises off the buildings
But it can be seen twisting through the land
Strange Gods in strange dwellings
Taking drugs
To ease their long lives
Sad Gods out on the sidewalk
Hoping to be fierce and wild
